Our Damson and Orange Luxury Artisan Handmade Jam won the prestigious Great Taste Award in Sept 2022. The Great Taste Awards are organised by the Guild of Fine Food and is the world’s largest, longest standing and most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers. Helen’s luxury Damson & Orange Extra Jam was a big hit with the Great Taste judges feedback included “A rich, great looking jam with an orange aroma. This vibrancy is retained in the flavour which offers sharpness along with a well-judged level of sugar. The balance of sharp and sweet is just right.”
In Black Mountains Preserves Award Winning Preserve, the Damsons are homegrown in Talgarth and handpicked by the Black Mountains Preserves Kitchen Elves! Handmade with TLC, hand stoning the damsons and adding the freshly squeezed Orange Juice to create just the right sweetness. Offering a stunning depth of flavour, ruby in colour and with a Summer citrus sweet tang from the hand-squeezed orange juice and zest.
